Home of Victory Boys Camps
The mission of the Louis Zamperini Foundation is to impact young minds with the principles and values of its founder, Louis Zamperini by challenging them to be resourceful, self-reliant and responsible. Summoning the immense potential within them, and illuminating the path to a purposeful life through faith in God.
FOSTERING COURAGE, HOPE, PURPOSE AND DIRECTION FOR OVER 60 YEARS
Since 1952 kids in need of guidance were Louis' passion. He established the first of its kind wilderness program for at-risk youth, 'Victory Boys Camps'. The camp challenged kids to achieve success in basic outdoor skills such as fishing, boating, skiing, hiking and climbing as a means to develop character and instill a sense of respect for themselves and others. The majesty of the great outdoors created the ideal setting to touch hearts and minds. We continue to provide these opportunities for kids at risk today.
Through sharing the lessons of his extraordinary life, Louis was able to shine a light on the truth that perseverance, faith in God, and forgiveness can lift anyone through the worst of hardships and awaken their promise. Giving them a future and a hope.
Today, the Louis Zamperini Foundation exists to continue his life-changing work, by partnering with mentoring programs that reflect Louis' life of commitment and values.
